November: Community Connections, Christmas Campaigns, and Cosy Cabins

November has been another exciting and fulfilling month for Owl & Hare, filled with meaningful collaborations, creative campaigns, and plenty of personal moments to remember. From wrapping up phase 1 of the Citizens Advice research project to launching new campaigns, it’s been a busy one!

Let’s dive into the highlights...

FROM THE OWL'S NEST 🦉

Phase 1 Complete: Citizens Advice St Helens Project
We wrapped up the first phase of our research project with Citizens Advice St Helens (CASH), collecting data across the borough at food banks, drop-in sessions, and even at St Helens College’s Wellbeing Day. A huge thank you to everyone who participated!

We also hosted a focus group with service users, gathering invaluable insights. I had the privilege of presenting our initial findings to the CASH Trustees during their business planning day, and now we’re all geared up for phase 2. It’s incredibly rewarding to be part of a project that is directly shaping the future of local community support.

Rainford Bespoke Flooring Campaign
It’s been fantastic working with Rainford Bespoke Flooring to get their pre-Christmas and Black Friday campaigns off the ground. From creating engaging social media ads to supporting their print advertising, we’ve helped them push out some eye-catching content. We’re now working with them to map out their marketing strategy and plan for 2025 to fuel their growth and ensure they’re set up for success in the new year.

Helping Silver Daisies Shine

We’re thrilled to have started working with new client Silver Daisies Coaching and Holistic Therapies. We've been busy planning and designing a campaign to raise awareness and drive sign-ups for the “11 Days of Kindness” online initiative taking place in January and are also shaping a marketing strategy and plan for 2025.

Owl & Hare's Mini-Series: Marketing Strategy for 2025
We launched a mini-series to help small businesses prepare their marketing strategies for 2025. We’ve already covered vision and purpose, and goal setting in November, with more to come in December. It’s been fantastic to see the response, and we’re excited to continue supporting small businesses in planning their marketing for the year ahead.

New Client Planning
We’ve also been busy developing plans for another exciting new client - more on this next month as we get things underway!

ON THE NETWORKING FRONT 🤝

Real5 and FSB Events
Networking has been in full swing this month! I had another fantastic Real5 meeting, catching up with some brilliant people and sharing insights. I also attended an FSB, HSBC and Growth Company event to learn more about the support available for businesses based in St Helens. It was an excellent opportunity to network with like-minded professionals and discover new opportunities for growth.

121s that Delivered
In addition to the events, I had a few valuable one-to-ones this month. Whether brainstorming ideas, exchanging advice, or simply connecting on a deeper level, these conversations have been so helpful in driving collaboration and creativity.

A big thank you to everyone who made time for a chat!

OFF THE CLOCK 🎄

Daily Walks & Snowy Scenes
I’ve been making the most of daily walks, which have become a real staple in my routine. This month brought a few snowy days, and walking through the frosty, white-dusted countryside was pure magic. There’s something so calming about connecting with nature, especially when it’s looking its wintry best.

Running, Training, and Health Goals
I’m continuing to enjoy running and hitting new personal milestones in my fitness journey. It’s been incredibly rewarding to see the results of my hard work, not only in terms of weight loss but also in toning up and building strength. Regular sessions with my personal trainer have really helped me stay on track, and I’m feeling fitter than ever!

Gigging Highlights
November was packed with live music! I had the chance to see Twin Atlantic, Yellowcard, and Kasabian, and they were all absolutely incredible. There’s nothing like the energy of live performances to lift your spirits and reconnect with your love of music. A few of us met up at Yellowcard, so it was a great opportunity to catch up and let loose for a few hours!

Family Fun & Festive Traditions
This month was also full of memorable moments with family. Bonfire Night was a standout highlight - I spent a fantastic evening watching fireworks with my boyfriend, sister, brother-in-law, and dad. The fireworks lit up the crisp autumn sky, and it was such a lovely way to enjoy time together.

My sister and I attended a sound bath together, something we try to do each month. It’s a special way for us to connect, nurture our spiritual side, and take a breather from our busy schedules. This month’s session left us both feeling calm and recharged.

Another highlight was a family outing to see The Scouse Red Riding Hood with my mum, sister and auntie. The show had us all in fits of laughter, proving that a little local comedy goes a long way to brighten the season.

A Weekend Break to Remember
I’ve just returned from a wonderful weekend getaway in a log cabin with a hot tub — pure bliss after such a busy month! We specifically visited Donna Nook to see the seals, and I’m so glad we did. There were hundreds of seals, including many adorable pups. It was such a special experience to watch them up close in their natural habitat. Definitely a weekend I won’t forget!

That wraps up November’s highlights. Here’s to a December filled with more creative projects, festive fun, and continued progress as we round off our first year. 🦉✨
